    UMMA features a variety of both spacious and intimate event spaces for catered receptions, wedding ceremonies, entertainment, student events, multimedia presentations, corporate events and more. Housed in the Maxine and Stuart Frankel and the Frankel Family Wing of the building the Multi-Purpose Room is a crisp, contemporary space great for private meetings or intimate functions and can accommodate as many as 60 guests for seated dinners and for standing receptions. Rental fees are based on the hourly minimums which include the actual Event Time plus setup and breakdown. All vendor deliveries and pick-ups must be scheduled to the loading dock at West Street between the hours of —AM, or as otherwise scheduled by the Whitney.

    The Museum reserves the right to install works of art, including large sculptures or installation pieces, in and about Museum spaces without notice to the Host. To ensure that you will be able to enjoy your special event at UMMA, we recommend making reservations well in advance.

Notwithstanding the Event Expiration, the Host shall remove all equipment, decorations, supplies and other items relating to the Event from the Whitney pursuant to Paragraph 5 of the Special Events Policies.

    For smaller events the modern sophistication of the Forum or Commons makes a lovely event space. All site visits are by appointment only and must be approved in advance by the Whitney.

    Museum agrees to provide specifications for equipment secured by the Host or its vendors upon request. All plans for menus, floor plans, setup and breakdown schedules, lighting, decorations including, but not limited to, floral arrangements, table centerpieces, potted trees, plants or other large plants, and candles votive or completely enclosed pillar candlesvisual displays and any special installation of equipment shall be submitted to the Whitney for review and approval at least ten 10 business days prior to the Event.

    Copies of executed counterparts transmitted by telecopy, telefax or other electronic transmission service shall be considered original executed counterparts for purposes of this Paragraph 9.
